Among my memories are the special occasions our extended families spent together. The Patik siblings and their spouses always laughed and shared remarkable stories about the "good old bad days" .including their humble childhoods as poor immigrant kids and their lives during the Great Depression and World War II. The family gatherings were a happy time. Lots of loud laughter, good food, fun, and of course a variety of beverages that brought even more cheer and laughter. Our parents were decent hard working people, hardy and honorable. None were financially wealthy but they gave their children good and happy childhoods and instilled in us their work ethics, self-respect, and strong desire for self-improvement and achievement. Those were indeed good times.. I miss my departed parents and family members. Aunt Ann was the last surviving family member of that wonderful generation and of that past gentle and peaceful life. She is fondly remembered for her zest for life, her boundless determination, and energy, and of course, her beautiful smile. Aunt Ann - until all of us meet again., go in peace and happiness.

I remember Lorraine from St. Anthony's Church - seeing & talking to her & Mike every Sunday morning was always a treat! We usually were seated near to one another. Such a wonderful person.

Well Mom, I love you so much and of course I'll miss you and I want you to know that I will try to live the remainder of my life with your good spirit inside me making me a better person everyday. You were a person that never complained about anything and I want to be more like you! We all should be more like that! We didn't find your teeth, but you were gorgeous, even without them! See you on the other side someday!
