Carole Ann Stevens, 75, of Harrisville passed away peacefully February 8, 2018 after a brief illness at the VNA Hospice House in Butler.
Carole was born May 11, 1942 in East Brady; she was the daughter of the late John and Louella Hiwiller.
Carole graduated from Moniteau High School; she was in the class of 1960. After graduation Carole married Gary Stevens on October 2, 1960. Together they had 3 children, Anita, John and David.
Carole worked at Hick’s Dining Hall at the Grove City College. More recently Carole worked at Riverside Market in Grove City. Carole was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan and NASCAR fan.
Loved ones left to cherish her memory are her children, her daughter Anita ( Albert Defoggi) of Meridian, her sons John (Punkin Redmond) Stevens and David (Letha) Stevens all of Harrisville. Her four grandchildren: Amy (Josh) Cornelius of Parker, Alan (Josh DiLuzio) Stevens of Pittsburgh, Kelsey (Jake) Hogg of Slippery Rock, Wesley Stevens of Butler. Four Great Grandchildren Alex, Annabella, Jonah Cornelius, Twila Hogg and 1 great granddaughter due in June. A brother Richard Hiwiller and his wife Shirley of Petrolia. A sister in law Connie Hiwiller of CA. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Carole is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gary, three brothers Harold, Howard and Jack Hiwiller, three sister in laws Sandy, Mary Ann and Patricia. One nephew also preceded her in death.
The family would like to thank Carole’s caregivers Doris Clark and Becky Hunt along with the nurses and staff at the VNA Hospice House in Butler.
Family will welcome friends and family Saturday, February, 10, 2018, from 4-7 p.m., at the Jamison-McKinley Funeral Home, 117 North Main Street, Harrisville. Funeral service will take place at the funeral home Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 11:00 am with a hour of visitation prior to the funeral service. Carole’s grandson Alan Stevens will do the funeral service.
