Jamie Walter Obituary

Jamie L. Walter, 70, of Harrisville passed away peacefully April 1, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

Jamie was the daughter of Dr. Earl and Kathryn Houts, her birthday was August 7, 1947.

Jamie was first married to William Smith; they had 2 children Susan and Rusty. William preceded her in death. She subsequently married Edward Walter of Grove City. Later in life, Jamie was blessed with many years with John Staub, who passed away.  She then shared 14 years of her life with Donald Glenn Jr., who has also passed away.

Jamie loved her cats and big dogs, as well as her music. Jamie had a quick sense of humor, always playing jokes on people. It was fitting that she passed on April fool’s day. She was an avid hand quilter and made numerous blankets for her family.  Jamie loved family time together, especially with her granddaughter Jamie Marie.

Loved ones left to cherish her memory are her daughter Susan Smith(Gerald), grand daughter Jamie Marie and her son Rusty Smith(Christine), her grandson Cameron and her sister Carol Mansh(Steven), niece Lexi, and grand nephew Eli.  Many close relatives and long-time friends survive.

Family and friends may gather at noon to visit prior to the memorial service being held at 12:30 on Saturday, April 7th at the Harrisville United Methodist Church located at 301 S. Main Street, Harrisville, Pa 16038.  Contributions in Jamie’s memory can be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
