Raymond A. Ferguson, 87, of Mercer passed away July 5, 2018 at home surrounded by his family.
Raymond was born October 30, 1930 in Butler County, he was son of the late Carl and Clementina Eaton Ferguson.
Raymond graduated from Harrisville High School in 1949. Raymond married the former Janet McCommons on January 26, 1957 and together they had four children.
Raymond retired in 1992 from Paul Pierce Trucking. Prior to working for Paul Pierce Raymond worked for 23 years for City Asphalt out of Youngstown Ohio. He also worked in construction as well.
Raymond enjoyed hunting and spending time at his hunting camp. He spent many of nights working on his and his son modified sprint car. They took it to local dirt tracks and enjoyed the time together.
Loved ones left to cherish Raymond’s memory are his wife Janet of Mercer, his children Pennie Snyder and her husband Eric of Ohio, Raymond Ferguson and his wife Carol of Mercer, Bryan Ferguson and his wife Kimberly of Conneaut Lake and Randall Ferguson and his wife Deb on Mercer. 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and Raymond’s sister Edna Nulph of Grove City.
Preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers and 6 sisters.
Family will welcome friends, Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Jamison-McKinley Funeral Home, 117 North Main Street, Harrisville from 6-8.
Funeral service will take place Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Pastor Phil Cooper officiating from the Shenango Valley Baptist Church.
Interment will take place at Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville PA.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be sent to Shiners Hospital for Children; Erie Unit, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie PA 16505.
