Alice Louise (Rust) Johnston

Alice Louise Johnston, 82, of Grove City, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2026 following a brief illness.

Born on March 23, 1943, Alice was the daughter of the late David and Dorothy Rust. 

On May 13, 1958, Alice married Boyd Johnston who preceded her in death.

Alice loved the Sinner’s Sanctuary Church.  She enjoyed playing bingo, wood working, knitting and crocheting.  In her younger days she made a prize winning table cloth at the Stoneboro Fair.  Alice loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Alice is survived by her children Esther (Jim) Martin of Sandy Lake, Tammy (Hoss) Long of Harrisville, Cindy (Mike) Bolkabla of Grove City, Boyd (Theresa) Johnston of Harrisville, Robert (Becky) Johnston of Barkeyville and Deb Lines of Grove City; 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Along with her husband and parents, Alice was proceeded in death by her siblings David Rust, Dessie Mccoy, Samuel Rust, Barbara Jo Rust, and Carrie Coast and several aunts and uncles.

Family will receive friends at the Jamison-McKinley Funeral Home, 117 North Main Street, Harrisville from 11 AM to 1 PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.  The funeral for Alice will take place in the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:00 PM with Pastor Sam Stebbins Officiating.  Interment will follow at the Harmony Cemetery in Harrisville.

In lieu of flowers the family ask memorial contributions be made to The Sinner’s Sanctuary Church, 2178 Clintonville Road, Harrisville PA, 16038.
