Carl Hockenberry III, 66 of Mercer, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on September 3, 2023.
Carl was born July 28, 1957 in Grove City. He was the son of the Carl Hockenberry Jr. and Virginia Bonetti Hockenberry.
Carl graduated from Slippery Rock High School. He was married to Kendra Sutherland in February of 1978, she survives.
Carl was retired from Miller Industries in October of 2022. Carl was an outdoor euthenist. He was an avid hunter and loved spending time at his camp.
Loved ones to cherish his memory are his wife Kendra, his mother Virgina his children Kelly Wolf and Carrie Hockenberry and her fiancé Ty Jones. His sister Connie Surrena, and his beloved grandchildren Carleigh Milcic, Azaria Wolf, Brynah Peary, Payton Hockenberry and Jaycee Boyer.
Carl is preceded in death by her father, grandparents and his twin sister Carol.
A celebration of Carl’s life is being planned for a later date. The Jamison McKinley Funeral Home in Harrisville is assisting the family with arrangements.
