David A. Fye

David A. Fye born in Kossuth, PA December 15, 1950 to Donald and Virginia Fye, died suddenly at his home May 22, 2024.

David was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Dale Fye and a sister Jane Shaffer.

David is survived by his wife Debra, a step daughter Samantha Matter (Rodney), step son Shawn Schmelzer (Vicki), 4 grandchildren Michala and Tresa Matter, Jake and Luke Schmelzer,  David’s two sisters Carol Wise (Larry) and Ruth Ann Webster (Terry), brother and sister-in-law John and Suzanne Davis, nieces and nephews Dan Wise(Carla), Sharon Engh(Don), Lauren Davis and Ryan Davis(Gabbi)  and several great nieces and great nephews. 

David was a long-time active member of Forestville United Methodist Church.  David enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf.  Some of his favorite times were spent traveling and spending time with family and friends.   His most memorable trips were to Yellowstone National Park, relaxing on a houseboat in Dale Hollow Tennessee, his yearly get-a-away to North Myrtle Beach and the New England Cruise.
David retired from Wal-Mart.

Family will receive friends at the Forestville United Methodist Church, 124 Boyers Road, Forestville PA 16035.  Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will take place at the church Sunday, May 26, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.

Burial will take place at Prairie Cemetery.

The Jamison McKinely Funeral Home, Harrisville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
