Donald A. Kelly, 84, of Slippery Rock, passed away peacefully February 7, 2025 at the Grove City Hospital.
Don was born January 20, 1941 in Harrisville. He was the son of the late Burton W. and Grace L. (Miller) Kelly.
Don graduated from Moniteau High School. After graduating he enlisted in the US Army from 1965 till honorably discharged in 1968. During his enlistment he served during the Vietnam War.
Don married Barbara Altmas on December 17, 1965. The couple recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.
Don had worked at Wendell August Forge as a Master Craftsman for 18 years. Most recently he was a caretaker at the Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville. Earlier in life Don was an avid hunter and fishermen. He always lent a hand to neighbors and friends when anyone was in need.
Loved ones to cherish his memory is his wife Barbara Kelly of Slippery Rock, his sons Donald Kelly Jr. and his wife Denise of New York and Charles “Chuck” Kelly of Slippery Rock, his grandson Jackson Kelly of New York and his brother Clair Kelly of Indiana.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Esther Mravec and Virginia Miller, his brothers Burton F. Kelly, Ronald Kelly which was Donald’s twin brother, an infant brother and his beloved dog Muffin.
