John D. Stirling Obituary

John D. “Jack” Stirling, 81, of Grove City, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

 Born August 2, 1944, in Phillips, TX, he was the son of the late Hanford H. and Virginia Mair Stirling.

John was a graduate of Mars High School. John was a proud veteran of the United States Army, and he had served in Viet Nam. He retired after thirty years with People Natural Gas. John was a member of the Harmony Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge 603 in Grove City since 1979 and the American Legion, PA Post 0852 since 1975. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by many in the Harrisville and Grove City communities.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Voegler) Stirling whom he married on June 29, 1968; his son, David Stirling; his brother, Brian (Patricia) Stirling; his sister, Royene Strazisar; his brother-in law, Ken Wakefield; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Wakefield and brother-in-law, Louis Strazisar.

At John’s request, there will be no public viewing.  The Jamison McKinley Funeral Home in Harrisville is assisting the family with arrangements.
