Margaret Evelyn (Currie) Bailey, 87, of Emlenton PA passed away peacefully at home Saturday evening, February 8, 2025, surrounded by her family as she entered into the presence of the Lord.
Born in Butler County PA, Margaret was the eldest child of the late George and Mildred Currie. She was baptized at Muddy Creek Presbyterian church in 1938. Margaret was a graduate of Grove City High School where she met her husband James (Jim) David Bailey. Margaret and Jim were married at Rocky Springs RPCES Church and celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in 2024. Margaret was a devoted wife and loving mother to her 5 children who are the grateful recipients of her legacy of unfailing kindness, unwavering faith, and her ability to take delight in the natural world around her which she instilled in them. Margaret was an active member of Calvary OPC.
Margaret was preceded in death by her eldest son, Bradley Bailey. She is survived by her husband James Bailey; by her children, Marsha (Stephen) Johnson, Patty Bailey, Jeannie (Chad) Sutton, Andrew (Jamie) Bailey; and by her grandchildren who she adored, Olivia (Daniel) Burgher, Nathan Johnson, Jacqueline Sutton, Sara Sutton and Dean Sutton.
Family will welcome friends at the Jamison McKinley Funeral Home, 117 North Main Street, Harrisville PA, Friday, February 14, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place at the Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 443 North Main Street, Harrisville PA, Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Peter J Puliatti officiating.
