Obituary

Paulina “Pauline” Lucia Buccini Harris, (age 95), of Mercer, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 8, 2023.

Pauline was born October 14, 1927 in Butler, PA, to Italian Immigrants Josephine (D’Onofrio) and Domenico Buccini.

She attended grade school in a 2 room school house in Pardoe, PA and attended Grove City High School. She and her family were active members of the Saint Hermenegild Roman Catholic Church in Pardoe.

She married William “Bill” Logan Harris on Dec. 23, 1948, and was secretary for the Harris Lumber Company for 55 years. Mr. Harris preceded her in death on December 19th 2009.

She worked Elections for Findley Township for 20 years and became an Election Auditor. She was also Den Mother for Cub Scout Pack 83.

Pauline was of the Baptist faith and accepted the Lord as her savior on November 4, 1973. She supported Rescue Missions in New Castle, Youngstown OH, and Pittsburgh,  as well as Pastors in Jamaica, Kenya, Haiti, India and blind missionary George Gray.

She is survived by 3 sons, A. Logan Harris (Sherrie) Kennerdell PA, Daniel J. Harris, Polk PA, S. Philip Harris (Anne Marie) Melbourne Florida, and daughter Rita Ann Harris who lived with Pauline as her primary caretaker; grandchildren Brian Harris (Jen), Heather Mlecko (Matt), Marisa Sapar and Stephanie Selenchik (Paul); great grandchildren Brooke, Logan and Sarah Mlecko, Madeline, Willie and Olivia Harris, Hank and Eva Selenchik and Laila Benger.

She was preceded in death by her parents and loving daughter Paula Rose Blakely, brothers Philip and Dominic Buccini and sisters Dena Ellington and Edith Costello, and her precious dog Tinker.
