Roy Cogswell

Roy Cogswell, 73, born May 13, 1948 was promoted to glory October 8, 2021.  There to meet him was his parents Everett Cogswell and Laura McCamey, his brothers Clarence, Raymond, Lonnie and Dan and his sister Helen. 

Roy was loved and will be greatly missed by his wife Nancy, his children Amanda Cogswell and her significant other Keith and Ryan Cogswell and his wife Stephanie.  His grandchildren Samantha, Madison, Alicia and Michaela; a step grandson Anthony.  Roy’s  great grandchildren Jordan(3) and mousey on the way.  His brothers Chester, John, Jim, Ralph, Ed, Leroy and Keith and his sisters Marie, Polly and Rachael and many nieces and nephews. 

Roy was a true family man, always putting his family’s needs before his own.  He loved to spend time with his dog Buddy.  Music played an important role in Roy’s life.  He wrote his own songs and poems.  Earlier in life he enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Roy had a way with numbers, completing Sudoku puzzles with only a hints. 

The Jamison McKinley Funeral Home in Harrisville is assisting the family with arrangements.  A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
