Ruth A. Semel

Ruth Ann Semel, 78, of Carlisle died peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

Raised in Harrisville, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Velma (McBee) Barr and the wife of 55 years to Lawrence Semel.

Ruth Ann retired from Citizens Bank of Morgantown WV as a vice president.

She dedicated many years assisting her husband, Lawrence, in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, excelling as a Sunday School teacher and showing hospitality to countless people over the years.

In addition to her husband, Ruth Ann is survived by her son, Aaron Semel, his wife, Tanya, of Ohio; her daughter, Tara Samuelsen, her husband, Andrew, of Carlisle; her five grandchildren (Sydney, Nathan, Erik, Luke, and Johnny) as well as her sister, Barbara Rowe and husband, Richard, of Butler.

Family will welcome friends at the Jamison McKinley Funeral Home, 117 North Main Street, Harrisville, PA on Wednesday March 27, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will take place Thursday March 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
