William Thomas Cooper, known to friends as “Bill,” passed away on December 7, 2020, at the age of 55 years. He had a brief, but aggressive, battle with cancer.
A native of Grove City, Pennsylvania, Bill graduated from Grove City Senior High in 1983. After graduation, Bill joined the United States Air Force, retiring as a MSgt 20 years later in 2004. After his retirement from the Air Force, Bill continued working in the field of Liquid Fuels Maintenance. He was most recently employed as a Senior Fuels Project Manager at DAWSON since 2015. By all accounts, he was well respected and loved by all who knew him.
Bill was predeceased by his father Thomas J. Cooper Sr. and mother Catherine I. Cooper.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Suzanne, daughter Ashley (Royce), sons Nicholas (Mylinda), Thomas, and Jonathon, 5 grandchildren Alice, Catherine, Brody, William, and Charlotte. He is also survived by his sister Dorry Sankey (Gerry) and his brother Howard Joseph Cooper.
Bill was a lifelong lover of model railroading (HO scale was the best if you asked him). He loved tinkering with his model trucks, playing guitar and piano, and working outdoors. He enjoyed riding his tractors (International Harvester and John Deere could both be found in his garage). He can accurately be described as a Jack of All Trades. He was an amazing dad and the BEST grandfather and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
