Sorry for your loss. Send prayers and thoughts to the extended Martin family. Your father was a comfort to me when I lost my husband. He shared about what he had felt after your Mom passed. He was always happy, loved his sense of humor. Will miss him at our get togethers at Kings. Take care.

To the family and friends of Mr. Martin, I send you my deepest sympathy. While nothing will completely take away your grief, by meditating on God’s promises found in the Bible, you can find real hope and the strength to keep going.  I have found the scripture at John 11:25 to be comforting where Jesus, our Lord and Savior, says "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." May God continue to give you comfort and peace in the coming days. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4

My deepest sympathy to your family on the passing of Bill. He was one of a kind! When I think of him, I remember his smile and his laugh. Bill and Shirley were some of the first people we met when we arrived in Slippery Rock so many years ago. They were both always so welcoming and kind. They demonstrated what it is like to be caring, loving Christians.

Dear Becky and Barb,

I am sorry that you have lost your dad. It will leave a big whole in your life. Although I never had the opportunity to know him, I have known and loved both of his daughters, so I know he was a wonderful man. I pray for you in as you grieve for him.
Live,
Colleen

Becky, Barb and Families,
You have my deepest sympathy on the loss of your Dad. I always remember his smile & friendliness. I remember him at church as a Sunday School teacher, superintendent, elder, usher, choir director, wherever he was needed. He would be one of the first to speak to anybody new & make them feel welcome. I remember him at band, playing trumpet or percussion, directing, emceeing, hauling extra equipment to parades, marching in parades I remember riding to parades with him & your Mom, when we didn't have a ride. . I always remember us going to the Clintonville parades, because that's where he was from. I remember having the lunch in between the Clintonville & Harrisville parades on Memorial Day, so nobody had to run around looking for somewhere to eat, He used to let us know if the various parades were a "one-tune town", or a" three-tune town". When he was directing the one song, which name escapes me right now, he would say the chorus was "And the monkey chased his tail around the flagpole." He seemed to always give his all to these 2 organizations, so I'm sure he did the same with other organizations and the community. Not only did you lose a wonderful Dad, the church and community lost a wonderful human being.

Barb and Becky and family, you have my sympathy in the death of your father. Not only was he a big part of our church family but a very big part of the Harrisville community band. We were all in the band and there's no one that loved the band more than him. He was such a great guy. We all loved him. May God give you peace and strength during this time of grieving. You have such wonderful memories of Bill, there isn't anyone he didn't bring a smile to their face. God bless your family. Shirley (Bickel ) Presley and Donnie Presley
